About The EQUALITY Study:
The EQUALITY study aims to develop a patient-centered method to collect information of individual patient’s sexual orientation and gender identity in an emergency department setting.
This is a THREE PHASE study:
1. Engage patients and providers to identify preferred approaches to collecting sexual orientation and gender identity information.
2. Develop methods for collecting sexual orientation and gender identity in collaboration with our stakeholders and community-based organizations.
3. Implement and evaluate methods for collecting sexual orientation and gender identity information from patients at local emergency departments.
